What is the FMT Excavator Drilling Attachment?

It is a drill rig solution for all types of mining that mounts on an excavator and comes with an on-board compressor. It drills holes of 115–300 mm diameter.

It is ideal for blast-hole production drilling in quarries, surface mining and construction, and also for solar pole hole drilling.

What drilling depth can it achieve?

For mining, the rated depth is 6 mtr in a single pass or 12 mtr with 2 rods. For solar pole holes, the depth is 4 mtr in a single pass.

Which excavators can carry it?

Excavators in the 20–30 ton range, with make options such as Sany, Tata Hitachi, Volvo, Hyundai or any other. The excavator engine acts as the prime mover.

Does it have its own air compressor?

Yes. It has an on-board compressor with options such as Atlas Copco or ELGI (or as per request), with a capacity of 750–1250 cfm at 250–350 psi.

Which optional features are available?

Manual rod changer, water injection, reverse camera, fire safety, alarms and a drive fatigue system.
